With regard to the facility at the end of Church Avenue, this excerpt was taken from the Howard County Government news:  Shut down and decommissioned in the early 1980’s, the Deep Run Wastewater Treatment Plant served the area until the construction of a sewer interceptor across the Patapsco River was completed.  This project will allow the County to remove the unused structure (which was completed in 2025) and return the site to its natural condition for wildlife and forest to grow and thrive.
